Mike Hong, DDS

Dr. Mike grew up in the less sunny state of California, where his journey in dentistry began. As a proud member of the UCLA Bruins, he embraced the values of hard work and dedication early on. His passion for oral health led him to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Mike was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, a testament to his exceptional skills and commitment.

Dr. Mike furthered his expertise by completing a prestigious pediatric dentistry residency program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Boston Children’s Hospital. This rigorous training equipped him with comprehensive knowledge in advanced sedation techniques and pediatric advanced life support. He became well-versed in handling complex cases involving facial trauma, cleft and craniofacial conditions, and caring for children with special healthcare needs.

His dedication to the field has not gone unnoticed. Dr. Mike received the Richard C. Pugh Award for ranking in the top 3% on the national pediatric dental board examination. His commitment to excellence ensures that every child receives the highest quality care. Doing his part to advance knowledge in his profession, Dr. Mike serves as the pediatric expert reviewer for the *Journal of American Dental Association* (JADA). He’s also a published author in the journal for his award-winning research on dental sealants. Away from the office, Dr. Mike volunteers as an adjunct faculty member at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Boston Children’s Hospital to train the next generation of dental students and residents.

Beyond his credentials, Dr. Mike is a husband to his lovely wife, Heather and a devoted father of his two young children. They keep him active and inspired, reminding him daily of the importance of providing compassionate, quality care for all children. His family motivates him to stay at the forefront of pediatric dentistry, blending professional expertise with a genuine understanding of what it means to be a parent.
